The Phantom HD, from Vision Research, combines the visual quality of high-definition imaging with the high frame rates of specialty cameras. The Phantom HD gives the cinematographer 35mm depth-of-field at HD or 2K resolutions.
Phantom HD is compatible with HD viewfinders and monitors
making shooting any subject clear and precise. Unlike with
film, and some other digital high-speed cameras that require
rendering, you can immediately see the results of your shot.
The camera records to an internal RAM memory that can then
be downloaded to a laptop computer. The Phantom HD also
allows you to "play" the contents of the memory module over
single (4:2:2) HD-SDI outputs on the docking station to a
recorder, disk array, or other HD-SDI capture device.

The Phantom v10’s CMOS sensor,
offers 480 frames per second at its full resolution
of 2,400 x 1,800 active pixels. At the HD resolution
of 1920 x 1080 the v10 records 978 fps (standard
mode), or 519 fps (enhanced mode).While continuing
the feature rich tradition, sensitivity and
“ease-of-use” offered in previous Phantom camera
models, the Phantom v10 offers new features such as
an HD-SDI interface, Gigabit Ethernet, 14-bit depth,
and larger DRAM image memory optioning to record
more images over a longer record time.
